Organizational Development

FGS & Associates, LLC’s organizational psychologists have provided top-level assistance to organizations in the areas of personnel and organizational development, competency modeling, selection criteria and individual/executive coaching and development.  FGS uses validated tools to custom design individual and organization assessments and development activities.

The following are examples of our success in organizational development.

Case No. 1  –  Immediately before and during the merger of two utility original equipment manufacturers, FGS assisted senior management in the assessment of the entire new joint sales and marketing organization.  FGS then provided assistance in creating development activities for cross-training individuals in the technical areas, as well as in determining the effectiveness of personal development activities.  Key to this effort was the identification of individual skills.  This included a process to quickly address anxieties and uncertainties normal in a merger situation and to minimize any loss in effectiveness and energy during the merger process.

Case No. 2  –  FGS conducted training to assist the former Ministry of Electric Power in China in a re-organization effort.  Over 50 managers, executives, and government officials were successfully trained in fossil power plant management techniques, strategic thinking, and total quality management.  Training took place over a four year period.
